Salsa Bar and Grill has been welcoming visitors and locals for over 22 years. Located in the heart of Port Douglas, is the epitome of dining in the tropics. The open-aired Queenslander sits perfectly opposite St Mary’s by the Sea with stunning views across the Coral Sea.
Head Chef Goran Zonai has been creating magic in the kitchen with his team for over 15 years. Originally from Germany, Goran brings a wealth of knowledge combining international flavours with local produce. Some Salsa ‘favourites’ that keep people coming back for years include Thai Chicken Spring Rolls, Linguini Pepperincino and of course the Chocolate Cointreau Souffle!
Restaurant Manager Renae Reddrop and her team bring new meaning to service with a smile. With the essence of Salsa remaining fun, fresh & funky, the wait staff provide a professional service in a casual yet welcoming fashion. The extensive cocktail and wine list is carefully created with tropical dining in mind. Think Dragonfruit Mojitos, Mango Daiquiris and Lychee Martinis just to name a few.
As one of the locals favourite restaurants in Port Douglas, reservations for lunch and dinner are essential. During the ‘peak season’ of May – November, Salsa can often be booked for weeks in advance. Book online or call the restaurant between 09:00 – 12:00 or 15:30 – 17:30 seven days per week.
