🌴 Assistant Restaurant Manager

Start: ASAP | Full-Time Position | Port Douglas

Salsa Bar & Grill is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to join our leadership team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of Port Douglas’ most iconic and successful restaurants, helping lead a passionate team while delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

About the Role

Working closely with the owners, restaurant manager and senior leadership team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. You will lead by example on the floor, support and develop team members, and ensure every guest receives the outstanding service Salsa is known for.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and motivating front-of-house team members during service
  • Delivering exceptional guest experiences and resolving guest enquiries professionally
  • Assisting with rostering, training and team development
  • Maintaining high standards of service, presentation and venue cleanliness
  • Supporting stock control, ordering and operational procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with RSA, workplace health and safety, and company policies
  • Working closely with the kitchen and management team to ensure smooth service operations
  • A team player who thrives in a busy service environment
  • Availability for evenings and weekend shifts

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience in a hospitality management or supervisory role

  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

  • A hands-on approach and willingness to lead from the front

  • Ability to remain calm and organised in a busy service environment

  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations and guest service standards

  • Current RSA certification

We are specifically seeking hospitality professionals with a minimum of three years’ experience in a high-quality restaurant, resort, hotel or premium dining venue. About the Role
